Lewis has disobeyed ethic code number III point 3 in general which is said that engineers shall avoid all conduct or practice that deceives the public. Indirectly, he lies public for years since he might not pass that exam and cannot achieve his degree. It is interesting that Lewis felt guilty by what he had done 32 years ago. Even though he had disobeyed ethic code, at least he regretted it.
