length is 3x + 8

perimeter = 128

2(x + 3x +8) = 128

2( 4x + 8) = 128

4x + 8 = 64

4x = 56

x = 14!.

width = 14

length is 50

128 - 16= 112 
The length is equal to 3 widths. So there will be 8 widths total.
112 ÷ 8 = 14 
14 • 3 = 42
42+8 = 50
50+50+14+14=128
So the lenghth of the rectangle is 50cm.
