[tex] \frac{2}{8} [/tex] is the same as [tex] \frac{1}{4} [/tex] so
8 ÷ 4 (from [tex] \frac{1}{4} [/tex]) = 2
2 x 1 (from [tex] \frac{1}{4} [/tex]) = 2
