The clavicle can break when catching a fall with outstretched hands. Doing this will put enough pressure on the bone that it snaps or breaks. A clavicle fracture or broken collarbone can be extremely painful and can make it hard to move your arm. There is also the possibility of nausea, dizziness, and spotty vision due to the excruciating pain.
