Why do we only get to see one side of the moon?

Because humans see in 2D, while we live in 3D. D = dimension. Our eyes only perceive a flat 2 dimensional image in front of us instead of seeing all 360 degrees around an object at once. This is why we can only see one side of the moon. The sun also decides how much of the moon we see depending on how much light reaches the moon
