the equation of the line will be:

[tex](y-3)=-\frac{1}{2}(x-(-9))[/tex]

then

[tex](y-3)=-\frac{1}{2}(x+3)[/tex]

and we obtain

[tex]y=-\frac{1}{2}x-\frac{3}{2}+3[/tex]

and making the subtraction, we have

[tex]y=-\frac{1}{2}x+\frac{3}{2}[/tex]

which is the same as

[tex]y=-\frac{1}{2}(x-3)[/tex]
