The value of x when r(x) = -4 is 20/3.

Given, the function is r(x) = ₋2/3x ₊ 4

substitute r(x) = ₋4 in the value of r(x)

r(₋4) = ₋2/3(₋4) ₊ 4

r(₋4) = 8/3 ₊ 4

r(₋4) = 8 ₊ 12/3

r(₋4) = 20/3

hence we get the value as 20/3
