The incorrect information given by the formula MgOH2 would be that the compound contains only 1 mg atom, 1 oxygen atom, and 2 hydrogen atoms. When you write it in an electron dot diagram, you will see that it is wrong there will be unshared electrons. The correct formula should be Mg(OH)2.
