there are 6 different ways two coins can be chosen
penny-dime, penny-nickle, penny-quarter, dime-nickle, dime-quarter,      quarter-nickle

It would be: ⁴P₂ = 4! / (4-2)!
= 4! / 2!
= 4*3*2*1 / 2*1
= 4*3
= 12
