Vaccines protect the entire community by preventing outbreaks and making it harder for diseases to spread.

They help to slow the rate of infection. Vaccines are made up of an old version of that pathogen(making you ill) this means that the white blood cells will activate and the memory cells produced will remember what they need to do in case you get it again.
