Answer: f(X) + g(X) = x -1

               f(X) - g(x) = 5x - 7

f(x) + g(X) = 3x - 4 + -2x + 3 = x - 1

f(x) - g(X) = 3x - 4 - (-2x + 3) = 3x - 4 + 2x - 3 = 5x - 7
