You will need to simplify the equation by:
2x - 8y = 32
put the x on the other side but negative.
-8y = -2x +32
ok so it will need to divide the negative 8 on y.
y = -2/-8x + 32/-8
simplify:
y = 1/4 + -4

So the slope is 1/4
The y intercept is -4
