How can two items of the same shape and size have different densities?

Depending of the mass a.k.a the weight of the item you can have two identical items in shape and size but different in weight. Think of a wodden 4 by 4 cube and a Metal Gold 4 by 4 cube they are the same shape and size but the Metal Gold cube have a greater mass.
