One way World War I contributed to World War II was the treaty of Versailles. The treaty was very harsh against Germany and Germany had to repay war damages which left the country in a financial crisis. This led to hitler who won over the people by appealing to their anger over the loss of wwI and their debt. So in the end treaty of Versailles from World War I played a big part in causing World War II
