Answer:

If x is denominator, numerator is x + 5

If 3 is added to both the numerator and denominator, then

x + 5+3 / x +3 = 4/3

3(x+8) = 4(x+3)

3x + 24 = 4x +12

3x-4x = 12-24

x = 12

x = 12+5 = 17

So, (x+5+3)/x+3

= 20/15 = 4/3
