Answer: The importance of being an active voter is that as a voter you get to pick a leader that can represent you and others to present your ideas. Also as an voter you pick a leader to represent the concerns and ideas of the government. Voting is optional but it is a important democratic thing because we the people can govern ourselves and power is derived from us.
