What does symmetry provide for artwork?

It allows a artist easily view the entire painting. It also allows the art to be in balance (one side is even with another). It also helps all the elements be in agreement with one another.

It makes the sides look alike and lets the artist sorta copy the other side but sometimes it’s hard like trying to draw the other eye
