Numbering of sources should not appear on a Works Cited page, whereas you should have consistent font size, alphabetical order, and double-spacing, because these are the characteristics of an academic piece of writing. You should include numbering of sources, however, but not in Works Cited page, but somewhere in the essay you are writing prior to that page.
