What happen with African American schools in the south?

I’m assuming that you’re asking why no more strictly African American schools exist anymore. In the late 60’s, the United States government banned segregation in the south, leading to the mixing of black and white schools. Although, HBCU’s (historically black colleges and universities), do still exist. Hope this helped!
