Find three consecutive odd integers such that twice the sum of the first and third exceeds the second by fifteen

Let the first integer be x , then second = x+2 and third = x + 4 and

2(x + x+4) = x + 2 + 15

4x + 8 = x + 17

3x = 17 - 8 = 9

x = 3

So the required numbers are 3, 5. and 7   (answer)
