The caravel enabled explores to sail on water without the winds being a challenge. the carvels were swifter and were more reliable through storms or strong currents. this was reliable because explorers discovered more lands and acquired more natural resources at a quicker rate. The printing press contributed to the expansion of ideas. without the printing half of the world would still be in the dark in regards to exploration.
