Given f(x)=3x-1 and g(x)=-x+6 find f(-2)+g(5)

f(-2)+g(5) = 3(-2) - 1 + (-5 + 6)

f(-2)+g(5) = -6 - 1 + 1

f(-2)+g(5) = -6

f(x)=3x -1 g(x)= -x+6
f(-2)=3*(-2) -1 g(5)= -5+6
f(-2)= -6-1= -7 g(5)= 1
f(-2)+g(5)= -7+1= -6
