The way to calculate a slope is with delta y over delta x. I don't understand what delta stands for? If I'm given a table how would I plug that in?

∆y is change in y, and there'll be two points given as: (x1,y1) and (x2,y2).
So ∆y will be (y2-y1) similarly for ∆x

Also there's another form of slope :

m= y2-y1/x2-x1
