Hi,

Work:

Equation;

[tex]121 + 2 = 9( - 6 - 7p) + 4p [/tex]

First add up numbers and distribute 9 over parenthesis.

[tex]123 = - 54 - 63p + 4p[/tex]

Second: collect like terms.

[tex]123 = - 54 - 59p[/tex]

Move variable 59p to left side and change its sign.

[tex]59p + 123 = - 54[/tex]

Then move constant 123 to right side and change its sign.

[tex]59p = - 54 - 123[/tex]

Calculate the difference.

[tex]59p = - 177[/tex]

Divide both sides of equation by 59.

[tex]p = - 3[/tex]

Hope this helps.
